Following a devastating fire, Inscale Architects worked with the owners of the Plaza Restaurant in Warren, Pennsylvania, to reimagine and rehabilitate this beloved local landmark. The result is a warm, contemporary dining environment that honors the restaurant’s legacy while elevating the experience for a new generation of guests.

At the heart of the renovation is a state-of-the-art kitchen outfitted with modern equipment and a more efficient configuration—streamlining staff workflow and improving service. The dining area was fully rethought, introducing an improved seating layout, new furniture, and refined interior finishes that create a more welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.

To enhance the customer experience even further, the design incorporates acoustic treatments that soften sound, along with thoughtfully placed retail display cases and a wider range of seating options. Together, these elements create a space that feels both familiar and refreshed—rooted in the Plaza’s longstanding community presence, yet beautifully updated for today’s diners.
