Wendelboe Hotel

Currently in the funding and planning stages, the Wendelboe Boutique Hotel represents the adaptive reuse of a historic mercantile and former office building into a distinctive hospitality destination in downtown Warren, Pennsylvania. The project blends boutique accommodations with residential units, banquet facilities, and a full-service restaurant, creating a vibrant mixed-use anchor within the district.

A defining element of the design is the grand entrance, carefully aligned with the building’s historic fenestration to preserve its architectural character while establishing a welcoming sense of arrival. Inside, the program is organized to support fluid connections between the hotel, its dining spaces, and a future adjacent banquet venue that is part of the broader redevelopment vision.

The Wendelboe project contributes to a larger master plan that includes restaurants, apartments, and event spaces, positioning the building as a central player in the revitalization of the surrounding neighborhood. Thoughtfully bridging past and future, the design aims to elevate the downtown experience while preserving the heritage embedded in the original structure.
